God is like Soup

If you take the most delicious fantastic soup, and passed it through a sieve that divided the parts, you would have salt, spice, sweet, bitter, etc.
Someone could taste any one of these parts and say “OH MY , this is DISGUSTING!”

And another may say, “but this is SOUP, soup is fantastic and delicious and life giving!”
And the first may respond and  say, ” If THIS is what soup tastes like, I want none of it! I would rather starve!” and starve they might.

Or maybe someone would say ” Real soup does not taste in extremes. Real soup would not have such bitterness, such tartness and random chunks and pieces”

Then , perhaps a chef would come along and say “Ah, but it is my job in life, to bring the elements of this soup together so that they may mix within me and give me nourishment and strength”

That was rather abstract, I realize, but I am pretty sure you get my meaning –how God is perhaps fragmented on this realm, this world of matter. God is within all, a part of all, but some of that ‘all’ is very difficult for us to see as God-filled.

The paths of the Sephiroth on the tree of life, are Seven, and they tie in not only with the Ancient Planets, but that these Paths are also related to the Double letters of the Hebrew Alephbet. Each path being dualisms of a sort (when looked at as one of the double letters). Slowly they work their way down through the Sephirot into Malkuth, the earthly realm that we are on. In Malkuth these things are actually physical. Struck with density.

And here, it seems to me, that these bits and peices are all lying about. In their singular fragmented forms.

If we look deeply, we see that they are all interconnected by the common thread of the Divine, only faintly visible in this dimension unless we KNOW what we are looking at/for.

These threads can be touched, and the linked vibrations felt… sometimes this is noticeable by the true few that can ‘see’. It isn’t that they have special powers, it’s just that they are, somehow, able to grab that vibrating thread, and hear it’s tune, like an almost non-existent guitar string.

We are to be the Chef, all the emanations flowing down to us, and us uniting them, here on this physical realm.

I’m not saying ‘This is what it is’, but  am sharing it because this is the truth that speaks to me right now. It is what I am understanding, and like all things, it is open to change and growth.

This is one of the reasons I find Kabbalah so very meaningful.

I want to unite all of this, internalize it, and climb back up the Tree of Life, back to my Home.

Within the next few days the transfer will be complete and once again divinaturism.com will take you to the correct site page. The site you are viewing right now, if .wordpress.com is in the title still, is a very basic introduction, possibly outdated, that was created last year.

Be assured that the full, proper website will be back in it’s place shortly.

High Autumn ~ The Equinox

A short  Myth followed by commentary:

She loved his companionship, but it was now time for the wheel to turn. It was time for self sacrifice. Such had been the way since time eternal.

She kissed him then. They danced one final dance, Her leaves vibrating with His energy, revealing the blossoms within. The creeks and rivers filled with salmon, all of Her was awake, waiting and ready for this final moment. She was alive, holding him, receiving his love.

The time arrived.

She removed her arms from around Him, freeing Him so that she could bring life. And death.

Released from Her loving embrace, He exploded into an abundance of light. His energy free and blazing.

She stood and braced Herself gracefully.

The intense heat from the  rupture caused  fruits to ripen and the wheat to stand tall in the fields.

She spun, slowly, gently, moving away from his light. Tired now, her fruit fell, feeding the creatures that were her charge. Sleep would come, Darkness would soon cover her in his cold blanket. The Shadow of the King. Empty and without life.

She took comfort knowing she would see her King again and dance the sacred dance. Then she began her decent into darkness, smiling at her King’s reflection in her moon.

Reading/Commentary

The perfect union of the Mother and Father is so intertwined, it’s hard to see where one ends and the other begins. In Autumn, we start to see the effects of that relationship. Flower has turned  to fruit.

Death is a necessary part of the cycle. For the Mother to provide the harvest, she must die. She is humankind, she is the natural world. She is our mortal selves.

The Father is formless. The moving, vital energy that flows through all. Never dying, but constantly bringing change.  However, without a vessel for that energy, without a receptive well to pour himself into, He has no effect.

The Mother, without that flow of energy moving through her, would be nothing. Just a lifeless carcass.

He is the lightening. She is the earth, drawing him down to her.

They need each other.

What is our harvest right now? At any given time of year?  If we are just the vessel, going through the motions, filling ourselves with nothing, we will never have a harvest. When we sleep, it will be the sleep of death. We will not awaken.  We have to dance the sacred dance. We have to unite our inner Sacred Feminine and Divine Masculine. We can encourage that by bearing witness to it in the world around us. The Natural world of the Mother Natura, and the formless existence of the Father Divinus.

The Outer and Inner. The Dark and the Light. From and Formless.

Being aware of that will help us to recognize it in ourselves.

We also have to find time, and space to allow that relationship to take place. In order to sow a field, one needs earth, and seed.  We need to allow dialogue between ourselves and Divinus Natura. We need to create enough silence within our thoughts to allow the union of the Two to occur.

We are the altar.

Our bodies and our souls.

We are the temple.

We are the field.

So now, at this time of balance, we are in a position to ground ourselves. Glean whatever we can from what we have learned. Take the fruits of our experience, examine our harvest  and draw sustenance from it, and see what sorts of seeds we can take for future plantings .

What have you learned? Take a look at your year so far, the good, the not so good. The harvest is not always about the material things we receive, in fact, it is the inner gifts that are the most important.

If you have not been living up to your own expectations, why? Have you learned lessons about your limitations, or lack of motivation? Have you found habits that have been holding you back, or perhaps learned of new methods to cope more easily? All these things are your seeds. Each learning experience is something to take forward with you, and sometimes that motion forward means that you will need to decide what is to be left behind. Separate the useful from the useless in your life.

Soon the time will come to dance into darkness, leaving our seeds to root in the earth. This is a great time to make preparations for the year ahead, because this wheel, it keeps on turning!

Blessings!

Paper signing time!

Our Constitution and Bylaws are all drawn up and ready for signing. Tomorrow is the big day. A nice time of year to do it, only a day or two behind the Cross Quarter day of the traditional beginning of Summer.

We celebrate this weekend as Low Summer. High Summer being celebrated at the Solstice in June, when the lengthy days hit their peak.

Also known of course as Beltaine. Uniting of the Lovers.

Once everything is signed and we have our offices all pinned down, they will be posted here.

Low Summer Blessings to all!

Threes

Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Keter, Binah, Chokmah.

Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet.

In Divinaturism, we work with three also.

The One,

Divinus,

Natura Mater.

Or The Source, God the Father and God/ess the Mother. It’s not as much the terms themselves, but what they represent.

For us, it works a bit like this:

The One is unknowable, much like the Supernal Parents in Kabbalah.

Divinus is much like Tiferet. The essence of the One, brought down until it can materialize in

Natura Mater. In this positioning, Natura Mater (Latin for Mother Nature) is similar to Malkuth.

In an outwardly sense, Natura Mater is Mother Earth. The Divinity (Divinus) of the One flows down to seed within her , and she brings Him upward and outward, manifested into the physical realm.

Divinus , which is without form, must have a place in which to be actualized. It is not tangible otherwise. Not to us. We are human creatures and as such are best able to realize and recognize the Divine, when He is brought forth by Natura Mater.

Now, in an inwardly sense, Natura Mater is our intentions and ideas. She is that which goes about trying to make things happen. She is our tears, and our laughter, our fears and our joys. All those outwardly things we experience are Her.

Divinus is that underlying current that is not as attached to our worldly needs and affairs. Divinus moves us and prods us along the way, a river of our Self. Natura Mater guides us to accomplish what it is that Divinus pulls us to do. When these two are in perfect balance, united, then we are closer to being the complete being that we are meant to be.

Being three aspects of the One does not have to mean that the One is Three separate individual beings.

Rain clouds-> Rain fall-> Rivers flowing to the sea.

Whatever form it is in, it is still water.

Frozen, falling, flowing. Water.

Just as the effect of the rain falling from the clouds is most apparent when it collects in puddles, rivers and in the ocean on the earth below, so the effect of the Divine energy, flowing from the One is most evident when it manifests within Natura Mater. All three of the same origin.

Divinity in the Natural World

Welcome to divinaturism.com.

We made this site in order to  share information with those who are curious about this path.

Divinaturism is a form of Panentheistic spiritual expression. While panentheism is more a belief system, Divinaturism is the name we give to the set of Beliefs, and Practices that we share. It is our way to ‘re-link to the divine. We are Divinaturists.

Etymology:

Divinaturism – The Practice of recognizing Divinty in the Natural World.

Divinaturist – One who practices Divinaturism.

di-vi-na’-too-ri-zm – From the Latin words ‘divinus’ in ‘natura’ .

meaning: divinity in nature
